Lively Hood Project

Project Overview

The Lively Hood Project, led by the Karunasai Addiction Centre, focuses on providing support and rehabilitation to tribal communities, particularly those affected by addiction. Since its inception, the project has made a significant impact on tribal settlement areas by implementing initiatives designed to promote long-term recovery and well-being. With a strong focus on anti-addiction activities, the project has successfully freed over 200 families from the grip of substance abuse. The Lively Hood Project emphasizes both immediate intervention and ongoing support to ensure sustainable recovery.

Key Features

Medical and Paramedical Camps

The project conducts regular medical camps that provide basic healthcare and address the physical health needs of individuals recovering from addiction. Paramedical staff work alongside counselors to ensure a holistic approach to rehabilitation, tackling both the physical and psychological effects of addiction.

Counseling Services

Through personalized counseling sessions, the Lively Hood Project offers emotional and psychological support to individuals and families affected by addiction. Counseling services focus on helping individuals cope with the challenges of recovery, while also addressing the social and emotional needs of their families.

Anti-Addiction Awareness Programs

In addition to direct treatment, the project runs awareness programs aimed at preventing addiction in tribal areas. These programs educate the community on the dangers of substance abuse and promote healthier alternatives. By raising awareness, the project seeks to prevent addiction before it takes hold.

Follow-Up Support

The Lively Hood Project places great emphasis on long-term recovery. Regular follow-up activities, including home visits and community check-ins, ensure that individuals continue on their path to recovery. These follow-ups help prevent relapses and provide ongoing emotional and medical support.
